Under the hood is Chevrolet’s trusty and powerful 327 cubic-inch V8. It has a tidy presentation that includes the correct Chevy orange paint on the block. It’s even dated to the correct year, so it makes us feel good about this coupe’s originality factor. Of course, the fact that this car has averaged around 1,400 miles annually also helps, too. There’s some nice flash with the bright air cleaner and valve covers, and there an extra hit of power thanks to the Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock intake. Sure, a first-year Camaro with a great V8 is always a nice performance classic to own, but with features like the Powerglide transmission, front disc brakes, and newer/modern tires, this coupe is also a true anytime cruiser. Cars that have never been apart drive differently than anything that has undergone a frame off restoration, and this one is no exception. No rattles, clunks, or shimmies make this a joy to drive!
