This is a 396/402 cubic-inch V8, which is always great for power, but this one has been enhanced further. It includes Edelbrock aluminum heads, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, and headers that add power while contributing to the rumble of the X-pipe dual exhaust. There are also the right supporting pieces, like steel braided lines, upgraded pulleys, and an MSD coil pack. You have full control over the strong motor and its thunderous soundtrack thanks to the upgraded five-speed manual transmission. This feeds the 3.73 Positraction rear end for good all-around control. And when you’re out on the streets, you can appreciate solid driving features like subrame connectors, power steering, modern ZR-rated tires, and four-wheel power disc brakes.
