Regardless of where this car started, today it’s powered by a potent 6.0 liter LS engine from a Chevy heavy-duty pickup. Complete with fuel injection and a torque curve as flat as Kansas, it runs beautifully and pulls this lightweight F-body around with real enthusiasm. There are about 55,000 miles on the engine, which means it’s barely broken-in, and the underhood area has a very OEM look. A custom aluminum radiator keeps it cool effortlessly and custom headers lead to a great-sounding dual exhaust system. There’s also a fresh TH350 3-speed automatic transmission bolted to the modern LS block, and a 10-bolt rear axle that doesn’t seem to mind the torque. Four-wheel disc brakes with slotted and cross-drilled rotors look racy and are highly effective, and there’s a new gas tank out back with a high-pressure fuel system to feed the injected V8. The suspension has been lowered a bit to give it that awesome stance, and those trick alloy wheels really fill the fenders thanks to 225/40/18 front and 275/30/20 rear performance radials.
